'Recovering Queen' Podcast 08/04/24

I featured on the 'Recovering Queen' podcast, where they pick a song for each episode, analyse it and cover it. One of the hosts is a lecturer at my university.

I won a competition to feature on the podcast with my cover of Somebody To Love, and I was then asked to appear as a guest as well. Being one of my favourite Queen songs, on a great album, A Day at the Races (1976) I had a lot to say about it. We discussed the influences in the song such as gospel and Aretha Franklin, and how it worked instrumentally and harmonically. As a huge Queen fan, it was an honour and very full circle moment to appear on the podcast and I am so grateful for the opportunity.
